Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be shown live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the pair met personally to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex twice unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge mismatch - at Miami's venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Mentality
"I plan to injure his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to really want to injure him. That's my goal."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Opponent
Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
However, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, consistently making massive earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would stop the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.
Physical Difference
As both boxers engaged in the usual confrontation, with their size difference on show, it emphasized just how improbable this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is actually proceeding.
